DIERCKS, Emma (née Kipar) 1919-2019

She may no longer walk beside us but her presence will forever be felt. Predeceased by her loving husband Walter (2002). Loving and dedicated Mother of Uwa (Jane) and daughter Brigitte (John). She will be terribly missed by her grandchildren Eric and Michael, Shane and Samantha, Heidi, Natalie and Andrea, and her great-grandchildren Tyler, Emma, Zach, Brady, Maude, Yohan, AJ and Jessica.

Our family immigrated to Canada from Germany in 1953. Shortly thereafter, the Reverend Lacroix of St. Paul’s Church took us under his wings thus starting Mom’s relationship with the Anglican Church. During the late 50’s, she became Camp Cook «Cookie» at both Cedar Lodge Camp in Magog and at Camp Farthing in Morin Heights. She later became Housekeeper and indeed, House Mother to the many students at the Montreal Diocesan Theological College, a position she truly adored.

Mom’s wonderful sense of humor, her laughter, her loyalty and above all, her love for all and everyone around her continued to follow her till she was almost 100 years old. She will be sadly missed by so many.

Please join us to honor and celebrate Emma’s journey to heaven by attending her funeral and memorial on Monday, June 10th at 11:00 AM at St. James Anglican Church, 642 Rue Main, Hudson, Quebec.  Donations may be made to the Montreal Children’s Hospital.
