It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved father, Roger Seguin, who left us on April 11, 2025, at the age of 84, after a long battle with cancer. Surrounded by his children, he died peacefully in his home.
Roger was born December 31, 1940, the eldest son of the late Albert Seguin and the late Delia Poirier. He was the loving husband of 55 years to his beloved wife Patricia Gaston until her passing in 2023. He was a cherished father to Laura (Nick), Connie (Glenn) and Paul. His grandchildren, Jonathan, Rebecca, Ryan, Charley, Greyson, Addison, and his great-grandchild, Adrian, brought him immeasurable happiness. Roger is survived by his brother Marcel and his sister Diane. He is preceded in death by his sister Christiane.
Roger proudly served as a volunteer fireman for the town of Vaudreuil-Dorion for 30 years. Those who knew him will remember his kindness, humor and generosity. Despite a difficult final few years, Roger never lost his sense of humor and continued to enjoy life’s simple pleasures. He often remarked that each day he woke up and could see his family, watch the birds at the feeder, and slip his adored companion Murphy a slice of cheese, were good days. He cherished every moment spent with his family and friends and brought joy to those who knew him.
Dad, you left behind a world that’s better because of your presence, and we are so proud to call you our father. Your legacy is one of love, laughter, and endless generosity. We will carry you in our hearts always.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday May 10, 2025 between 1:00pm and 4:00pm at: Hudson Legion, located at 56 Rue Beach, Hudson, QC
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff of the CLSC for the exceptional care he was provided. Most importantly we would like to express our deepest gratitude to Cathy, whose love, dedication, and care, carried this family through to the end.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to your favorite charity as a tribute to his memory.
