On March 7th, 2025, Sheila passed away at the age 97, after a courageous journey with Alzheimer’s. Sheila is survived by her children Scott Pritchard, Barbara Ball (Trevor) and Lisa Pritchard (Jacques), her 7 grandchildren Ryan, Corey, Chris, Nicole, Robyn, Karen and Joey, and her 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Karen and her husband of 72 years, Ron. Sheila was the only child of Flory and Russell Bennett.
Sheila found joy in taking walks, reading, doing crosswords, ice skating, swimming, listening to music and gardening. Sheila worked as a secretary at Eaton’s before choosing to become a stay-at-home mom. Later, as her children grew up, she worked at Miss Edgar’s and Miss Cramp’s independent girls’ school in Montreal and at a law office in Richmond BC. Most of all, she cherished time spent with family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
