PERRY, Garfield (Gary) 1929 – 2018

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Perry on February 6th, 2018, at the age of 88. Surrounded by family, Gary passed away peacefully at the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Care Residence in Hudson, after a period of declining health over the past year.

Born on February 14, 1929, in East Greenfield, Quebec to Emily & Frederick Perry, Gary was the youngest of seven children including Olive, Roland, Merida, Alice, Gordon and Ina. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Anna, along with their children Michael (Martine Dubé), David, Beth (Michel Lapointe) and Laura (Marcel Beauchamp) as well as their grandchildren Emily, Meghan, Matthew, Sarah, Samantha, Jasmine & Jake.

Gary and his brother Gordon founded and ran Perry Printing Ltd., a successful commercial printing operation which served the Montreal business community for over 35 years, retiring in 1993. He had a keen sense of bringing out the best in people, relishing the opportunity to listen to others and always had a genuine interest in their lives.

Heartfelt thanks to the kind and caring support of Dr. Len Welik.

A celebration of Gary’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 12th at Wyman Memorial United Church, 513 Main Rd., Hudson Quebec. Friends and family are invited to join a reception after the service at the same locale.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Care Residence Foundation www.mspvs.org
