It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of EMMA PARPAN DANGARAN. At the age of seventy, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, Emma passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Palliative Care Centre in Hudson, Quebec on July 16, 2019.
Emma was greatly loved and will be deeply missed. She was a loving and devoted wife of the late Jesse Juario Dangaran, a wonderful mother to her children Jerrick (Pavlina), Irish (Greg), Deijer (Kelly) and Pierre and an amazing Lola to her grandchildren Ella, Olivia, Oscar, Lana, Kayla and Kara. Emma was predeceased by her father Raymundo Parpan, her mother Teofista Canoy Parpan, her brothers Edgar, Raulito (Butch) and Junie from Balete Surigao del Norte, Mindanao, Philippines. Emma graduated from the National Teachers College in The Philippines in 1971. She married Jesse on January 20, 1973 and immigrated to Canada in March, 1981. Emma will always be remembered for her hospitality, love of cooking, gardening and spending quality time with family and friends.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and nurses at the CHUM, the CLSC Homecare, and the Hudson Palliative Care Center for their excellent care and compassion. If desired, donations are suggested to the Canadian Cancer Society and would be gratefully acknowledged by Emma’s family.
Visitation will take place at the Résidence funéraire F. Aubry et Fils located at 28 St-Michel, Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec on Monday, July 22, 2019 from 1-4 pm and 7-10 pm. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at 11 am at the Saint Thomas Aquinas Parish located at 413 Main Street, Hudson, Quebec.
