The death of Sheila MacAllister, born in Rollingdam, NB, occurred at the Lakeshore General Hospital, Pointe-Claire, Quebec on December 16th, 2020, at the age of 77 years.
Sheila is survived by her husband, Vernon E. MacAllister, her son, Euan MacAllister, her daughter, Tanya MacAllister (Frank Reynolds), her grandchildren, Fiona MacAllister, Devon MacAllister, and Reagan Ball, and her only great grandchild, Kylar MacAllister, her sisters, Jennifer Logan and Andrea Best (Stewart) and cousins, nieces and nephews.
Sheila graduated from NB Teachers’ College and taught in NB before moving to Toronto and teaching there. She took courses at the University of Toronto. Before moving to Hudson, Quebec she became a mother of two. She was very active in her Church. She and Vern took up golfing and both got their Pilot’s licenses and Sheila was active in the Women Pilots’ Association. Sheila travelled to Europe and the Far East. She was a Real Estate Agent and worked in Retail Sales. Sheila loved to read stories to her children and grandchildren and sometimes she ad-libbed going on adventures to faraway places. At Dinner Theatre in Hudson she played the part of a Temperance lady. Sheila was a member of the Garden Club in Hudson and loved working in her Flower garden. Sheila will be missed by all who knew her.
Sheila was predeceased by her brother, Sheridan Logan, her parents, Christine Libby and Myles Logan, her grandparents, Ezra Logan and Mary Gilman and Bernard Libby and Hilda Getchell.
Burial of Ashes will take place at the Rolling Dam United Church Cemetery in the Spring.
