After 5 years of courtship, 62 years of marriage, and more than 24,255 goodnight kisses, George laid a gentle kiss on his darling Lulubelle’s forehead in the evening of July 15th, 2025, unaware it would be their last. In a sudden and unexpected turn, Lulubelle passed away peacefully on the morning of July 16th, 2025.
Buoyed by treasured memories and a love that runs deep and strong are her knight in shining armour, George, her two daughters, Sharon (Tom) and Lorraine (Derrick) as well as her cherished grandchildren Jasmine (Lind), Sebastien (Caitlin) and Patrick.
Mom’s greatest joy was watching her children and grandchildren come into their own. Their milestones and successes brought her quiet pride and lasting fulfillment. She will be deeply missed by her devoted family, close friends, and extended loved ones.
Laurette was predeceased by her parents Paul and Yvonne Michaud, her brothers Arthur and Laurier as well as her sisters Pauline, Irene, Annette, and Marie-Jeanne. She is survived by her sister Thérèse.

28 rue Saint-Michel, Vaudreuil-Dorion, QC, on Saturday, July 19th, 2025, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at Saint-Thomas of Aquinas Catholic Church in Hudson, at 2:30 p.m. (approximately 20 minutes from the funeral home). The interment ceremony will be held with immediate family at a later date.
We would like to thank the nurses and staff of CHSLD Vigi Santé D.D.O., who cared for Mom these past six years. We also extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Mah, Dr. Drummond, and the team at the St. Mary’s Hospital Emergency Department for the care and compassion shown during Mom’s final hours.
