CAMERON, William Thomas (Bill) 1942-2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William Thomas Cameron (Bill), who left us at his home and surrounded by his family on May 13th, 2024.

Predeceased by his parents Patricia Hodgson and Lindsay Cameron, he will be greatly missed by his loving wife Nicole, his daughters Nancy (Sylvain), Patricia (Eric) and his grandchildren Sarah, Nicholas, Ashley, Lindsay and Thomas, whom he was proud of and loved with all his heart.

Bill had many brothers John (Sue), Donald (Simone), David (Pierrette), Robert (Hélène), Richard and Andrew (Janet), brothers-in-law, Louis-Jean (late Raymonde), Gaétan (late Monick), Normand (Marie-Andrée), Marcel (Renée), late Richard and late Luc as well as his many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

Throughout his life, Bill loved to use his manual expertise in mechanics, woodworking and more to solve the many problems presented to him. He could often be found in his garage, where family and friends knew that if something could be fixed, Bill would find a way.

When he wasn’t working at Air Canada or at home, he would drive up to the cottage to enjoy the scenery and the tranquility of the lake where he formed many fond memories with his family and many friends over the years.

Bill will be remembered for his gentle and loving presence, his sharp wit, creativity and mostly for the care and love he gave the people who surrounded him.

The family will receive condolences Saturday, July 6th, 2024, between 1:00 pm and 4:15 pm, at F. Aubry & Fils Inc. Funeral Home, 52 St-Jean-Baptiste East in Rigaud, followed by a service at the Ste-Madeleine Church at 4:30 pm. Burial will follow at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Association pulmonaire du Québec or Montreal Heart Institute Foundation.

I can only reminess on my childhood when my brother and I spent memorable moments around our “cousins” Nancy and Patricia. Bill was always around with his calm and witty presence. I mostly remember his kind demeanour and smile. RIP Bill.

My good friend, I will miss you. Enjoyed our time at Air Canada, as many good laughs and conversations.
