It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Pierre Biron, who died peacefully on June 10, 2025, at the age of 91.
Born on December 19, 1933, Pierre dedicated his life to education, science, and the betterment of others. A teaching pharmacist at the Université de Montréal, he was widely respected for his rigorous intellect and deep commitment to ethical healthcare. It was at the university where he met his beloved wife, Ninon Dagenais, beginning a beautiful partnership that flourished through 42 years of marriage since their union on February 19, 1983.
Throughout his distinguished career, Pierre not only taught and mentored with passion, but also authored and published several books in his field, contributing to the advancement of pharmaceutical knowledge in Quebec and beyond. A scholar at heart, he was known for his meticulous organization, sharp analytical mind, and unwavering dedication to truth and accuracy.
Outside his professional life, Pierre enjoyed sailing and travelling, finding peace and inspiration in the natural world and new cultures. A man of deep curiosity, he also dedicated time in his later years to researching his family’s genealogy, uncovering and preserving the stories of those who came before him.
Pierre will be remembered for his integrity, generosity of spirit, and tireless pursuit of knowledge. He touched many lives with his wisdom, warmth, and quiet strength.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 10:30 a.m., at Église Saint-Michel, 414, avenue Saint-Charles, Vaudreuil-Dorion. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of a life richly lived.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages gestures that reflect Pierre’s values: a book shared, a story preserved, or a new horizon explored.
