It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Helen Elizabeth Quinn, née Forrester, at the age of 80, of Hudson, Québec on June 19, 2023 after a brief battle with cancer. Helen is survived by her husband Murray, her sons Christopher (Ana), Matthew (Fiona), her daughter Tara (Eric), her grandchildren Joshua, Emmett, Oliver, Kayla, and Ben and her sisters Shirley, and Brenda.
Helen was an active member of the Hudson community, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother; and friend to many. Helen was an avid reader, volunteered at numerous local charities, was active in yoga, and loved walking by the water. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends for her no nonsense approach, her willingness to help and her sense of humour.
Her family wishes to acknowledge and express their profound thanks to the CLSC de Rigaud nurses, Valleyfield Hospital staff and Dr Laviolette of the Hawkesbury Hospital. The level of care and compassion provided was nothing short of excellent.
A Celebration of her Life will be held Sunday, June 25 from 2 to 5 PM at the Hudson Legion #115, 56 Rue Beach, Hudson, Quebec, JOP 1H0.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Palliative Care Center of Hudson, www.mspvs.org or Nova, www.novahudson.com in her honour.

Dear cousin Murray,
We are sad beyond words to hear of the sudden passing of Helen. What fun and amazing conversations we enjoyed over the past years as we visited you and her in your home. She always had tea and sweets ready for us to enjoy. We remember her so fondly and will pray for her, you and all the family. Love XXX
Helen was my mentor at Meals on wheels too many years ago to remember but she taught me well and I am still there for a little while longer., I reconnected with her at Yoga.
