Johan enjoyed spending time in nature walking, running, kayaking, biking, skiing or on his motorcycle. He was a talented potter and cabinet maker. His creativity and attention to detail is evident in all his work. Most dear to Johan’s heart was his family. He was a devoted son, brother, father and grandfather who taught his children and grandchildren the value of traditions and the importance of family. He was a true friend, who will be remembered for his sense of humour, bright smile, and genuine compassion. Loved dearly by family and friends, he will forever be remembered.

A celebration of Johan’s life will take place at the Stephen F. Shaar Community Centre (394 Main Road, Hudson), on the 11th of May 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

The family wishes to sincerely thank the staff and volunteers at the Palliative Care Residence in Hudson, for their exceptional care and compassion.
