It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Louis Léger on July 10, 2025, at the age of 61, in Hudson, Quebec.
He is survived by his wife Janine Brunet, his daughters Valérie and Marie-Eve (Vincent), his mother Gisèle (the late Claude), his siblings Danielle (Michel), Diane (Bill), Hélène and Jean-Claude, numerous brothers-in law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, as well as all of his other family and friends.
A lifelong Hudson resident, Louis worked at the Hudson-Oka ferry until his retirement. He continued to enjoy work past his retirement, given his tremendous drive and his ability to repair, fix or build almost anything. He truly was a person who knew how to get things done. We will remember Louis for his abilities but also for his heart: if work needed to be done, he was there – if someone needed help, he was there – Louis always was there.
Louis was known for his generosity, dedication, and kindness. His sense of humour, outgoing personality and selflessness will remain forever in our hearts.
The family will receive condolences on Saturday, August 30th, 2025 at 10:00 a.m., at Saint-Thomas of Aquinas Church in Hudson, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.
