She is survived by her loving daughter Sharon (Theo) and will be forever missed by her cherished granddaughter, Megan and her loyal companion, Ginger. Daughter of the late Louis-Philippe Lantin and the late Marie-Louise Boucher, she is predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years, Steven Gordon Murray, and her brothers, Raymond and Gérard. Born and raised in Newport, Gaspé, Quebec, Marie relocated to Montreal (Outremont) with her husband, Steven, in 1964. A devoted wife, mother and homemaker, her path would eventually lead her to the healthcare industry where she flourished at the CHSLD de Vaudreuil.

A devout Catholic, Marie was a true ambassador of the Christian faith. In her retirement years, she devoted herself to community service. In addition to volunteering at the Carrefour de l’Espoir, she worked closely with the staff and clergy of Saint-Michel Catholic Church for many years in various capacities including organizing and overseeing the annual Month of Mary.

Marie will be best remembered for her God-given talent in the restoration of religious statues. Over the years, she repaired and restored countless statues, many of which can be found at various churches.

She departed this world peacefully surrounded by her family, leaving behind the lasting memory of a genuinely humble, kind-hearted, compassionate and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her kindness and generosity will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
