Robert was first married to Norma Weir who came from Scotland and settled in St. Lambert. Together they raised their children during the nineteen fifties, sixties, and seventies in the West Island of Montreal.
In addition to his growing family and business, Robert was involved in charitable work with the Rotary Club and enjoyed an active social life at the Forest & Stream Club and the Royal St. Lawrence Yacht Club with his many friends. He pursued his much-loved hobbies of tennis and sailing and travelled widely for both business and pleasure
Robert became quite involved in the equestrian community and purchased a farm in St. Lazare in 1981. After the death of Norma, it was there that he met Betty whom he married in 1993.
Robert’s funeral will take place on Thursday, February 15th at the St. James’ Church at 642 Main Road in Hudson, Quebec at 2 p.m. After the funeral, you are also invited to join us for a reception to celebrate his life at the Whitlock Golf & Country Club, 128 Cote St. Charles in Hudson.
