GERARD, Chantal 1967-2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Chantal Gerard, who left us on August 12th, 2024 following a difficult few months of illness at the age of 57. Beloved wife of Daren Legault, Chantal was a devoted mother to Katrina (Salvatore) and Jacobe (Cooper). She was the cherished daughter of André and Pierrette and will be lovingly remembered by Daren’s parents, Thomas and Thérèse.

Chantal was a dear sister to Patrick (Jennifer) and will be fondly remembered by her brother-in-law Curtis (Tammy). Her nieces and nephews Benjamin, Chloé, Eric, and Claudia were a great source of joy in her life.

Chantal’s warmth, kindness, and love will be forever missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of Chantal’s life will be held on Saturday, August 31st, 2024 from 11am to 5pm at Le Verger de Hudson Bio at 839 Main Road in Hudson, QC.

The family would like to extend profound gratitude to Dr. Mihalcioiu and his incredible team at the Cedars Cancer Center.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the NOVA organisation (www.novahudson.com), whose support was invaluable to them during this difficult time.

It is difficult to put in to words how deep the sadness and grief runs. Chantal was the most lovely, gentle yet strong, soft yet solid, caring and giving woman. A fiercely loving mother to Jacobe and Katrina and always made those around her feel welcome, comfortable and heard. She will be watching over Jacobe, Katrina and Daren with a smile and she will know how well loved they are and how well loved and missed she is. My deepest and sincere condolences from both Steve and I.
