LEVESQUE, Sheila (née Haley) 1944-2022

It is with great sadness that the family of Sheila Haley Levesque announces her passing on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at the age of 77. Sheila is lovingly remembered by her husband, Fernand, of 56 years and her daughters Marilyn (Arni) and Diane (Todd), as well as five beautiful grandchildren whom she cherished and adored, Jake, Britney, Natasha, Zavier, and Lexi. She is survived by her sisters Barbara and Shirley (Phil), and by her brother Bobby (Lynn), along with many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her parents Howard and Izala and siblings Rollie, Pat, Howard ‘Bee’, Ann, Carl, Kenny, and Roger.

Born in Matapedia, Quebec, Sheila grew up in a large, close-knit, Irish Catholic family. She cherished the bond she had with her parents and her siblings. That appreciation for family relationships carried over when she married and had her own children and grandchildren. Her family made up the entirety of her world and she devoted her life to them. She was happiest surrounded by family, especially spending quality time with her grandchildren whom she proudly doted over and spoiled every chance she had.

A great cook, nothing pleased Sheila more than preparing a feast for family and friends. Those who walked into her house were guaranteed to be offered a delicious meal or some decadent baked goodies. Homemaker extraordinaire, you could always hear her singing and humming while she went about keeping an immaculately clean home and cooking up a storm. She also had a passion for gardening, going on long walks, and listening to music.

An amazing wife and mother, ever caring with a kind soul, she set the bar high as a role model to her daughters. We will remember her for her bright smile, generous spirit, and pleasant personality. Sheila will be desperately missed by all those that she has left behind. She was one of a kind and to be loved by her was to be truly blessed.

The family will be receiving condolences Saturday, May 14 from 11am to 1pm, at Maison Trestler 85, chemin de la Commune, Vaudreuil-Dorion, QC, followed by a private family gathering.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada or a charity of your choice.
