BONNEAU, Doreen (née Harney) 1945-2020

May 24, 1945 – April 1, 2020

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Doreen Harney Bonneau, age 74, on April 1, 2020.

She is the dear Mother of Lynn (Andrew), Michelle (Ritchie) and Melanie (Matthew), as well as the cherished Grandmother of Eric, Kyle, Meghan, Michael, Justin, Allison and Claire.

She is survived by her siblings Lorraine (the late David), Urban (Joyce), Michael (Lynda), Linda (Hartmut), Johnny (Cheryl), Shirley (Burke), her many nieces and nephews, as well as her many great friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald (Jerry) Bonneau, her mother, Bernadette Blais Harney, her father, John Harney, and sisters, Barbara and Rose Anne Harney.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

The family would like to send our heartfelt thanks for all the extremely kind and compassionate care that she received at the Suroît Regional Hospital in Valleyfield as well as the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Care Residence.  Should you choose, donations in Doreen’s memory to these locations would be greatly appreciated.

I only had the pleasure and honour of meeting Mrs. Bonneau once when I was a kid, so I won’t pretend I really knew her. That said, I knew 2 of her kids – Lynn and Michelle – and I know how special they are, they had to get that from both her and Mr. Bonneau, so I know this has to be a great loss.

Much love to everybody, sorry for this terrible loss.
